Lee Fields is one of the few retro-crooners I do not tire of, most likely due to the fact that, rather than mimicking artists old enough to be his father (or grandfather), Lee sings the music he was brought up on and began singing at an early age. Last year's Faithful Man was an under-the-radar highlight for me, so I'm glad that Lee has decided to release an acoustic video for my favorite track "Still Hanging On." Backed by his newly signed Truth & Soul labelmates Lady (Nicole Wray and Terri Walker), Lee and the ladies perform the track in a beautiful 16th century Dutch church, the perfect setting for his passionate delivery. Check out the video, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for Lady's debut album, due later this year.
