Andy Allo Is A 'People Pleaser'

After teases and taunts, Andy Allo emerges with the long-awaited visual for "People Pleaser," the supercalifunkalicious number that is to usher in the arrival of her second album, Superconductor. Shades of Prince are obviously present in this mix of fat saxes, shrill trombones and snapping bass licks, all done with pristine precision and spunk by the New Power Generation crew who backs Allo up superbly. At times the band slightly overshadows Allo in her own visual with wonderful instrumental spotlights that feature Maceo Parker and Trombone Shorty. Still, the newly minted Prince-ly protege sashays and swishes around, the head operator of this bulldoze of a funk number and she looks and sounds absolutely fabulous. Our Bounce-Worthy alums sure do evolve and mature right before our eyes, don't they? I'm literally counting the days till Superconductor touches down on November 20th, but until then, let me (and my shaking derriere) settle into this slice of 21st Century funk. "People Pleaser" can also be enjoyed by way of purchase on iTunes.
