After grazing my way through my to-do's for the week, grumbling at almost every bullet point, I knew that my daily infusions of new tuneage would give me the right pick-me-up to tackle my daunting tasks. Josephine is one of those artists that shook the blues off immediately. Of Liberian and Jamaican parentage, Josephine is yet another talented songstress hailing from the UK -- Manchester to be exact. With her guitar strapped on, Josephine plows her way through her very first single, "What A Day," which is off of her debut album, Portrait, arriving October 8th. So now would be my cue to wax poetic about how this song reminds me of "so-and-so" and how it's something that you should drop everything down for, but you know, I'd be spoiling the experience of surprise. Ambushed I was when I pushed play as Josephine's voice just crackles and leaps out at you, and well, I want you SoulBouncers to get the same jolt of joy I did without me throwing descriptors at you. So as we dive into those last gasps of summer, revel in the warm freshness below. Oh, and take a peek after the bounce to view Josephine in acoustic mode where an even richer experience is in store.
