GRAMMY Award-winning R&B diva and basketball wife Monica has teamed up with James Fortune & FIYA for an all-star uplifting gospel collaboration. "Hold On," featured on James Fortune's latest album Identity, allows Monica to shine alongside legendary gospel vocalist Fred Hammond in a way we've never seen or heard before. "Sometimes your skies may seem dark and grey. Just know your breakthrough's not far away," she sings beautifully. The accompanying visual, directed by Bobby Yan, also features cameos from Toya Wright and Isaac Carree. A song of encouragement and motivation, I can see "Hold On" easily being added to BET's next Celebration of Gospel set list. On the heels of her seventh studio album, New Life, which has failed to catch on with fans, and her stellar performance of "I Love the Lord" during the Whitney Houston tribute at this year's BET Awards, could you see Monica releasing a gospel album?
