Five years ago this month, SoulBounce was created to fill a void in online soul music coverage, and we've come a mighty long way since that single solitary Morning Soul post that was published in the afternoon (ha!) of August 13, 2007. The road SoulBounce has traveled on has taken many twists and turns, but one thing has remained consistent -- our love for soul music in all of its various forms. From the old school to the new, we try to cover as much as we can of a genre that is still alive and kicking with no signs of ever disappearing. And thank goodness because neither do we! And this Saturday night SoulBounce will celebrate our first five years in the game at the Axel F party at Liv in Washington, DC. Our fam DJ Stylus, Jahsonic and Adrian Loving will be spinning the best in jheri curl funk, champagne soul and lazer boogie in our honor and this occasion will also celebrate the musical legacy of Michael Jackson who would have turned 54 on August 29th of this year.
