Much of the TV talk last eve revolved around Frank Ocean's much-ballyhooed and downright phenomenal television debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. But Ocean wasn't the only one making waves (sorry, couldn't resist) on late night television. An hour before on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, New Zealand sensation Kimbra wowed with a soul-stirring live performance of her song "Settle Down," from one of our favorite albums of the year thus far, Vows. She impressed from the start by beatboxing and singing a cappella into a loop pedal before the band kicked in to support her. Kimbra may be widely known for her chart-topping duet with Gotye on "Somebody That I Used To Know," but last night proved what we here at SoulBounce already knew -- that she can definitely hold her own.
