As quiet is kept, SBTRKT's self-titled debut album was one of my personal top 10 releases of 2011. That album was banging. Those who know know, but those who may still be on the fence about SBTRKT will have more than enough new music to get into in the coming months with word from the man himself that he's back in the studio and working on EPs, albums and etc. This is good news, especially when he posts newness to his SoundCloud page such as the song "Gamelena," which he dropped yesterday. According to SBTRKT, he has no plans for this little ditty and just wanted to share it with the public. His benevolence is definitely for our benefit on this track that sounds like a rainforest set to a thumping drum beat. If this is something that he plans to do nothing with, then I can't wait to hear what else is store on those upcoming tracks that will serve a purpose.
