Monica Gives Her 'All' On AOL Music Sessions

The Monica machine is going full throttle in preparation for the release of her next album, New Life, on Tuesday, April 10th. Her seventh set finds the 31-year-old singer in a good, happy place personally and that's bubbling over into her music, which can be heard and seen in this special AOL Music Sessions performance. In this session, Monica sings both new material from New Life and old favorites, such as "Angel of Mine" and "So Gone." Although I'm not a fan of her current single and duet with Brandy, "It All Belongs To Me," Monica takes the reigns and delivers a solid solo showing here. (Bran and Mon fans will also be excited to hear that the contemporaries are in the planning stages of a joint tour this summer. Score!) Also included are "Anything (To Find You)" and the reggae-tinged "Man Who Has Everything" where Monica interpolates a bit of Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry" into the bridge. All in all, this is quite a treat. Monica sounds pretty awesome live and radiates on stage. Hit the bounce, sit back, relax, and enjoy this mini concert on your computer.
