Emeli Sandé is gearing up for the US release of her debut album, Our Version of Events, on June 5th, although UK Bouncers have been enjoying it since it topped the charts there the week of its February release. Across the pond, they're a few singles deep into the album with music videos to match, the newest one hitting the net today for the song "My Kind of Love." These visuals find Sandé, who was in medical school before she chose to follow her passion for singing, in a familiar hospital setting. However, she's just visiting and picking up a young lady who's being discharged from the facility. It's clear that the two have a special bond, sharing laughs and solemn moments on the drive home. But it's not until later in the video that you realize that they're sisters thanks to a flashback scene. Within the context of the song, it's a very touching video.

In addition to releasing the video for "My Kind of Love" today, Emeli also made her US television debut last night as the musical guest on Conan. She sang "Next To Me" backed by just a guitar and drums and sounded as good live as she does on wax, which is always the ultimate test of any singer. Needless to say, Sandé got an A+.
