No, Little Dragon wasn't nominated for a GRAMMY at last night's ceremony, but they didn't let that stop them from releasing their latest video. "Crystalfim," the haunting song from last year's Ritual Union, is the latest to get the visual treatment. While it is an interesting theme, I must admit that found it rather creepy. Nothing macabre happens in the clip, per se, but it does involve scarecrows. Scratch that, moving scarecrows. Despite Michael Jackson portraying one in The Wiz, one of my favorite childhood films, scarecrows freak me the hell out. And, even worse, these scarecrows have freaky humanoid faces and actual eyes! Okay, now that I've gotten that out of the way, the video is fun and whimsical and is an excellent companion to 'Crystalfilm.' Kudos to LD for keeping up their sense of quirk in the video department. Now excuse me while I go rock myself in a corner somewhere.
