Justin Vernon & The Roots Take 'Fallon' To 'Perth'

Deciding to hire The Roots as his band was probably the best decision that Jimmy Fallon ever made. Not only did it attract Roots' fans to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but it also made for unique musical moments (and at least one controversy) that you really can't find anywhere else. Take for instance Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon's recent stop on the show. Performing "Perth," which happens to be Questlove's "favorite Bon Iver jawn," he jammed with the band for a magical eight minutes. "Perth" was transformed from its original version to a vocoder-laced slow jam that was absolutely mesmerizing to watch and listen. If you're still unaware, moments like this seem to always happen on Late Night, so I suggest you either stay up to watch it or at the very least set your DVRs when your favorite artists are scheduled to appear. That being said, get lost in the performance when you press play below.
