K'Jon Delivers A Sobering Video For 'Will You Be There'

When you're hot you're hot and director Matthew A. Cherry is scalding the competition right now. He starts 2012 off with yet another new music video that he's directed, this time for the song "Will You Be There" from singer K'Jon who is releasing is sophomore album, Moving On, this spring. The visuals for the album's first single are rather sobering to say the least as K'Jon plays a man who is in the midst of a breakdown. He's arguing with his lady (played by actress Robinne Lee), bills are piling up, and he's seemingly at the end of a short rope. He finds salvation in the bottle, but alcohol only amplifies his problems leading him to prescription pills. Bringing to light the issues of chemical dependency and suicide, this video is a thought-provoking piece of film that doesn't get tied up with a pretty bow at the end.
