Georgia Anne Muldrow & Madlib Plant Some 'Seeds' For Thought

If only some of our favorite artists (*cough* D'Angelo*cough*) could be as prolific as Georgia Anne Muldrow. Never one to rest on her laurels, it seems that she's always cooking up something new for music fans to enjoy. 2012 will be no exception as she's teamed up with the ever-talented Madlib for their joint project entitled Seeds, which I'm sure will be nothing short of magnificent, that is, if we are to go by the title track. It's a funky slice of blaxploitation soul that fits Georgia's voice oh-so-perfectly. Her gospel-like alto is lifted up by the guitar riff and a tight horn arrangement from the '70's soul sample backing her, a excellent flip that we've come to expect from a Madlib production. Bringing her usual and always refreshing message of community uplift, she focuses this time on the children and the legacy they'll be left (a message that needs to be taken heed of, if you ask me). Seeds, the album, is set to drop March 27th and promises to be an album that soul music lovers don't want to miss.
