Austin Brown Is Your 'Midnight Man'

It's been a few months since we last discussed Austin Brown, but that doesn't mean that he's not on our minds. He is the heir apparent to the Jackson™ musical legacy, after all. And, while most would try to steer far and away from the comparisons to an uncle who is considered the greatest artist of all time, Austin doesn't seem to be the least bit concerned. Take for instance his latest offering, the retro dance jam "Midnight Man." If this doesn't sound like an update of the Off The Wall/Thriller-era Michael sound, then I don't know what does. From the awkward heavy breathing on the intro to the "doo doo doos" folded into the verses and the flute solo, it's almost like the second coming of MJ, and I, for one, ain't mad at it at all. "Midnight Man" is taken from his still upcoming album 85, which should see the light of day in 2012. In the meantime, put on your dancing shoes and press play after the bounce.
