I'm still kicking myself for missing Rahsaan Patterson's London gig this past Sunday. With N'dambi and Sarah Fonteyne opening proceedings it was always going to be a sure fire smash, something confirmed by my Twitter timeline. In the end I had to log offline -- the feelings of jealousy ran that deep. Thankfully, for those who couldn't attend some kind folks uploaded a heap of footage to YouTube and while having a dig through it I came across this video of Rahsaan covering my favorite James Blake song, "The Wilhelm Scream." Whereas James' original is quite a cold, sparse, mournful tale, Rahsaan injects a little warmth and a lot of soul. Those vocals! That band! Damn.
