Patience has never been one of my virtues, but being a music lover it's something that I must have whether I like it or not. Thankfully there are those artists who reward their fans' patience with a song here or a tune there while we wait for a full-length release from them. One such artist who has me playing the waiting game is Szjerdene, whose US debut is set for release "soon." However, since soon isn't coming soon enough, she's decided to drop a free download to ensure that the waiting isn't in vain. Just like a glass of ice water on a hot summer's day, "Leila's Tale" is a refreshing thirst quencher. She took Dimlite's "Roo (A Dedication)" instrumental and simply added lovelorn lyrics expressing her (or Leila's) desire to get the love that she let go back. It's a beautiful song enhanced by her angelic delivery. By the time the song ends with her repeating the line "to get lost where we belong," you will already be in another place.
