I've heard the name Emeli Sandé being banded about for a while now, but it was only after PINBOARDblog featured her in their Rehearsal Rooms Introduces... series that I sat up and took notice. Having been featured on a number of tracks by UK hip-hop artists, the talented singer/songwriter is ready to step out on her own with the debut single "Heaven." The original version has a slight trip-hop/'90s UK dance vibe, but for her Rehearsal Rooms feature Emeli stripped the track back. I have to say the acoustic version, for me, tops the original; however, both give a glimpse of a young lady with real potential. Also, props where they're due to the PBB team, the video is beautifully shot. [H/T: PBB]
