Aloe Blacc Has Us Seeing 'Green'

Aloe Blacc's Good Things seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. Released late last year, it's yielded four videos: the ubiquitous "I Need A Dollar," the noire-ish "Femme Fatale," the super cute "Loving You Is Killing Me," and now the mellow "Green Lights." The song, about a day that is just going his way, is already happy enough. However, the video simply and cleverly conveys this by pretty much focusing on Aloe during almost its entirety. When he's not getting all the shine, we see various people frolicking in the sun and otherwise enjoying life (I'm still trying to figure out how the guy was playing with that soccer ball on the railing). Sure, there's no CGI (minus the green fireworks at the end) or stunt doubles or super artistic images, but why clutter up a good song with all that, anyway? The music speaks for itself.
