If there is one British artist who I'm dying to hear new material from it's Alice Russell. There have been rumors circulating for a few months that 2011 will be the year she follows up 2008's Pot of Gold, but as yet there is no concrete news. The summer sees Alice and her band, who she affectionately refers to as "her boys," busy doing the festival circuit so here's hoping that we'll get to hear some newness once the autumn sets in. In the meantime, check out Alice performing "Breakdown," an as yet unreleased track that I'm hoping will appear on the new album. The video is a few months old, but I only stumbled across it today and, I'm sure you will agree, it is worth sharing. Every time this lady opens her mouth I'm amazed.
