I know it has been somewhat of a Jill Scott-OD round these parts of late, but we wouldn't have it any other way. At the time of writing it looks like Ms. Scott will gain her highest Billboard entry to date, going straight in at the top spot, no mean feat for someone who hasn't dropped an album in four years. As we would expect, Jill has been on a heavy promotional run on the lead up to the album, and that tour, and she took part in Centric TV's As Written series. In the show Jill talks about her inspirations for the new album, motherhood, and how being raised in Philly influenced the music she is making today. We also get a glimpse of her working relationship with executive co-producer JR Hutson and stories of their very different working styles. At the end of the show Jill talks about how she wants the album to act as a soundtrack for people's lives, music to think to, argue to, make love to and states "make a couple of babies for me ... name 'em Jill."
