Mary J. Blige ain't nothin' to mess with. The queen of hip-hop soul offers up the new track "Miss Me
With That," a soulful missive that wrestles with the fallout of a lover's lies. She falls back on the material
that works best for her -- heartbreak -- because as we all know, a sad Mary is a sangin' Mary. This song is pretty decent, but I know that MJB is
capable of so much more. The typical Mary motif is there (fed up with significant other/tells significant
other about self/puts significant other on notice), but her maturity requires more than just complaints
about a no-good man. I'll wait until My Life II drops this fall to pass judgment, but part of me just wants
her to dig deeper.
