With the beginning of the tenth season of American Idol, on which she is a new judge, I was certain that
Jennifer Lopez was too busy to do much else. So imagine my surprise when I heard her new song "On
the Floor" featuring Pitbull. "On the Floor" is the first single from her album Love?, which has been
heavily delayed since its scheduled release in 2010. For those of us who thought she had simply
stopped the music, we were mistaken. The track is produced by Swedish producer RedOne, who is
responsible for Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and "Bad Romance," and has the pulsating beat that you
would expect from any song about a dance floor. While "On the Floor" does very little to set itself apart
from most club bangers, it will make people flock to and dance on the floor, which it was designed to do. Grab your glow sticks and don't spill your cocktail while you listen.
