Cee-Lo Green & Janelle Monáe 'Lay It Down' For Fuse TV

Thankfully lightening didn't strike when two of the music scene's most innovative artists--Cee-Lo Green and Janelle Monáe--sat down for an episode of Lay It Down, scheduled to air on Fuse TV tomorrow night. Cee-Lo hosts the weekly show where he interviews fellow artists (the word "artist" used charitably on a few occasions), in a setting and interview format similar to but not as snooty as the popular show Inside the Actor's Studio hosted by James Lipton. Check out these clips below and after the bounce as Miss Monáe tells us how her life in the iPod generation has helped form the remarkable genius that is her music, shares how she got discovered by Big Boy working in Office Depot and discusses the Wondaland Arts Society. Here's a word of caution: try not to crack up as you have a WTF moment as you realize that Cee-Lo has dressed up in her honor, channeling Prince circa 1984. Game, blouses.
