Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings are back with a new video from their April release, I Learned the Hard Way. Following the old adage that if it aint broke, don't fix it, the video for "If You Call" is another retro affair, which the group has become known for. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Whenever Sharon belts out a note, she transports listeners no less than 50 years into the past, so it only makes sense to see a rotary dial phone and decor that looks like it was borrowed from the set of Mad Men in this black-and-white feature. Sharon is the lone star in this video, and she sings a solemn song about waiting for her man to call but she's not going to sit idly by the phone. Something tells me that she has other plans when she slips a butcher knife into her cute clutch purse. What's going to happen next? It's anyone's guess, but this video is part one, with part two hopefully coming soon to show the conclusion and answer any questions.
