Cee-Lo's 'Old Fashioned' Gives Us Something New To Love

Cee-Lo Green is brilliant. Whether he half-sings as part of Goodie Mob or for real sings as the frontman of
the sonic perfection that is super ill pop-funk duo Gnarls Barkley, he never disappoints. As a follow-up to
his viral smash "F**k You," he has blessed us with "Old Fashioned," a '50s-style love profession delivered
with the passion and conviction we've come to expect from Mr. Green. This is the latest release from
his forthcoming inevitable masterpiece, The Lady Killer, which drops down from heaven on November
9th. On the track, Cee-Lo reassures and praises the object of his affection with the backup singers being
the icing on the cake. The man's voice is a well-tuned instrument with vocal cords coated with honey and magic and awesomenessocity. Unlike many of his contemporaries who struggle for mediocrity in their
one, narrow lanes (howyoudoinNe-Yo?), the soul machine that is Cee-Lo Green proves yet again that he can
masterfully navigate any genre with a booming presence and witty wordplay. Listen to the song below and see
him perform it live on Later with Jools Holland after the bounce.
