I will freely admit that I was not on the list of people loving Aloe Blacc's "I Need A Dollar" when I first heard it. I'm still not quite sure why but I do know that after seeing this video of Aloe performing it live at Los Angeles' most excellent summer fête The Do Over, I am certainly rethinking my previous position. Is it the way the song gets into your head and thereafter is on repeat all day long? That certainly is annoying but what isn't is the sound of Aloe performing live as his cover of "Billie Jean" expertly showed. He's currently killing it on tour in Europe and is particularly big in France. Here's to hoping he brings more of that magic stateside real soon.
