There is definitely a lot of iconography at play in Kanye West's self-described painting for "Power." Probably the most telling is the aggressively oversized gold Horus he is wearing around his neck, one of the oldest and most complicated Egyptian gods who took many forms, notably patron of the living pharaoh and lord of kings. One translation of the name itself is "the one on high." Get it? Power. This adds yet another layer to Kanye's tortured megalomania, which at this point deserves its own summer home in the Hamptons.
Near the end of the short clip, all of the decadence and nymphs and warriors that swirl in luscious color around him ultimately fall away, leaving him alone to face a violent death we never see. Many point to his recent "I'ma let you finish" debacle as the source for this painting/video, directed by artist Marco Brambilla, which is whatever. He's been obsessing with the burden of his genius since College Dropout; it's just that now he's more influenced by the opulence of mega-wealth.
