Question: What do you get when you combine Kanye West, Beyoncé and Charlie Wilson on one song? Answer: A cacophony of sounds, few of which go together. Goodness gracious great balls of fire, there is so much going on in “See Me Now,”
the second single another song from Ye’s forthcoming Good Ass Job. I’m sure that this collabo sounded good on paper, but in practice? Not so much. Don’t get me wrong, I kinda sorta like Kanyeezy’s flow and the beat. However, it’s Bey and Uncle Charlie who don’t add anything to this song at all, even though the former tries to get her hood pass by singing the n-word (sounding so unnatural and forced in the process) and the latter acts like he’s singing for life. This really could have been so much better.
