Though I am not a big fan of all of the songs on Toni Braxton's new album, Pulse, as I shared in my review of the collection, I did enjoy the track "Woman" a teeny bit. The thing is, I didn't feel the emotionality of the song at first listen. A fan of all of her '90s work, I guess I'm just stuck in a space where Toni Braxton is emoting passionate, gut-wrenching soul with every note. I like that Toni and kind of felt like that Toni was on vacation, until this video. Toni gives us emotion in the clip but keeps it simple, focusing on the music. There's no storyline or veiled fashion show, just Toni and her musicians in a studio-like setting. It's just Toni being Toni singing her heart out. I dig it. And, I'm thinking that if you were on the fence about this song, like I was, you may just become a new fan. Check it out and tell us what you think.
