Don’t ‘Shield’ Your ‘Love’ From Nikko Gray

Perusing about Twitter during my lunch break yielded some interesting results. For example, not only did I not know that Nikko Gray had a full-length album ready to be heard, but that a single had just been released as well. As much fun as the summer may inherently bring, there’s something about the tranquility found in her voice that makes any thumping jam just as welcome as her sensual side of musical play. “Love Shield” delivers on that promise, just as I’m sure her Love Seen album, released May 27th via her Bandcamp page, will contain much more of the same lovely, drifting melodies we’ve grown to love. All songs have been written and arranged by Nikko herself as well as produced mainly by Nevin J. Thomas with the exception of the AFTA-1 co-produced track “Angels>Demons” Check the tracklisting after the bounce as well as an invite to the listening party should you find yourself in this dreamy part of LA needing some equally ephemeral soundtracks.
