Watching Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb host the fourth hour of the Today Show is something I need to do more often. No, for real, they may be certifiably insane. All this time, when Saturday Night Live would do skits about the two, I thought they were going way over the top. Turns out they may have been a little too tame. Alicia Keys paid the dizzying duo a "surprise" visit this week to promote her new single and album, and of course the two peppered her--in rapid succession--with questions about Lil Mama and Kanye. The entire segment reminded me of those scenes where a person is walking in slow motion (Alicia, being remarkably calm and collected, as if their hysteria had no visible effect) as everything around them is sped up times 1000. What I did love is how they finally got Alicia to speak on Lil Mama, giving what I think is one of the best quotes I've heard in a while. Check the clip below to see what I mean. I think I'll watch again, too. I need more of these women in my life.
