Ghostface Killah Speaks Our Minds With His 'Message'

ghostface_money3_1.jpegNot too long ago, we were criticized for not devoting enough attention to the Chris Brown-Rihanna debacle. To be honest, we are all adults, and despite the reports that were updated hourly, it seemed most prudent to let the legal system do its job and stay out of barely grown folks' business. Now that it has been revealed that Chris Brown will be arraigned today in Los Angeles on two felony counts stemming from the altercation he had with his girlfriend the night before the Grammys, it seems time to begin a dialogue on such matters. Color me surprised when Ghostface Killah's song "Message From Ghostface" dropped and speaks about the dangers and psychological toll that domestic violence invariably causes. I was initially a bit skeptical about the Glenn Lewis track "Don't You Forget It" being used, but after having this track on steady repeat for the past 30 minutes, it's clear that this is a message that you should not ever forget. It goes without saying that Hip Hop's teddy bear would only be able to convey such emotion so delicately yet firmly to all of those willing to listen. Thank you, Ghost, for saying what needed to be said by an elder who knows the deal.
