The Roots 'Love' The Kids & Their Family

Recently, I have spent countless hours seemingly held hostage by children's programming. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my kid, but once you're on your third hour of Go Diego Go!, you might find yourself going a little batty. Some time ago, we hipped you readers to Dino 5, a Hip Hop crew of prehistoric dinosaurs who love to bust a rhyme fronted by producer Prince Paul. Now, Yo Gabba Gabba!, a show that can best be thought of as Hip Hop meets robots fronted by a dude who is the reincarnation of "James Evans, Jr.", has recently released an album featuring Biz Markie and The Roots. While Biz is a regular on the show and shows kids how to beatbox with "Biz's Beat of the Day," The Roots have only just joined the team and brought with them their song "Lovely, Love My Family."  It's a totally cute song, but not what we've come to expect of typical Roots crew fare. It's much different than their typical sound, especially because the song is sung by Captain Kirk. You can check it out for yourself below.
