Illa J x J Dilla Beats = 'We Here'

Back in July we got word that Illa J
would be continuing his brother J Dilla's legacy and releasing an album of new songs laid over unreleased Dilla beats. More details about the project have surfaced and the new album now has a name. Yancey Boys will showcase Illa J rapping and singing and is posthumously produced by Jay Dee. "We Hear" is the lead single and although the beat is from 1995 (!) it still sounds current, especially considering Illa's lyrics about poppin' bottles and rockin' ice. This is definitely a fun, party song. Get into it. [H/T: 2DB]
