Raphael Saadiq's 'Oh Girl' Is Simply Beautiful

I have just played Raphael Saadiq's latest track "Oh Girl" about four times in a row. This song which is from his forthcoming album, The Way I See It, is the third track that has leaked, and it is in my opinion one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Not only is Raphael able to completely channel then remaster the '60s "wall of sound" so well, but his voice even manages to sound as though it's in a register that we've never heard from him before after all these years of singing in Tony! Toni! Toné! or as a solo artist. Just to test out how powerful this song is, play it for your mother, and see if she doesn't ask "Who is that?" and demand you fork it over to her. All I can say is that Raphael is shaping up to be one the premier artists of our time.
