Dupri Remixes Maxwell

maxwell-321660.jpgConcluding my DITC marathon is this remix of Maxwell's "Lifetime" by Jermaine Dupri. This was commercially released as part of the maxi-single so I didn't have to dig that deep. Thing is, it's been about seven years already and I'm hurting for material. That's right, seven... whole... years since NOW, which at this point should be titled THEN. But this is definitely one of those cases where I'll freely lay blame on the label. I mean, how could it be Maxwell's fault? He's perfect!

While certainly not the best remix of "Lifetime" (that honor would go to the "Tim and Jez" mix), Dupri gives it his all. There are no intrusive ad-libs to be found or cameos from Da Brat and Bow Wow. And is it just me, or does this tread awfully close to "I Get Lonely"? You be the judge.

As a bonus I've included the aforementioned Tim and Jez mix, the one that got plenty of burn on Quiet Storm radio in my neck of the woods. This is some romantic sh*t.

Again-- Seven. Whole. Years.
