Soon the words Almost September won't signify what one may say toward the end of August when looking ahead on the calendar. Especially if a newly formed group, who goes by the same name and is made up of MC Lyte, Jared Lee and Whitey White, has anything to say about it. A single from this diverse trio has surfaced on the net, and the song is a heater. "Beautiful" features Lyte rhyming, Whitey on vocals and Jared behind the boards.I'm loving how they freaked that Thelma Houston "Don't Leave Me This Way" sample. Lyte's next CD, Back To Lyte, is still coming soon, but this is a welcome diversion while we wait.
