Just the other day I posted the video for "808" by the group Blaque as the daily throwback in Morning Soul. A friend had brought them to mind after he lamented over the demise of the TLC-esque girl group. I agreed to a certain extent that Blaque had some promise to take the baton from TLC when they hit the scene in '99, but it just didn't jump off despite being groomed for a takeover by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and having a few charting songs.
Well, fast forward to today and original group members Shamari Fears, Natina Reed, and Brandi Williams are back together and are now under the watchful eye of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. The trio is looking to get back in the game in this post-Destiny's Child era and have a reality show in the works to document it all. Another reality show, huh? Great. Whether theirs will be successful a la Run's House or go the way of the hilarious mess that was R U the Girl with Chilli and T-Boz (remember that?) remains to be seen, but I'm sure I'll tune in for curiosity sake alone.
