A Primer on Strange Fruit Project

Strange Fruit Project isn't new, but in the interest of shining further perspective on the mission of SoulBounce, I've provided you with this short doc that preceded The Healing album.

Check the accents. These are some southern cats (from Texas, to be exact), but the type of vibe they bring is far from how the south has been characterized in the mainstream. I've been stanning hard for them since my belated discovery earlier this year and have to say The Healing is the album for people that want to re-enter Hip-Hop without the bad aftertaste and guilt. With a personnel that includes Erykah Badu, Darien Brockington, Little Brother and Yazarah, it's smart, soulful, thoughtful and, most importantly, "good."

Earlier this year they dropped The Lost Documents, a compilation of outtakes from the first three albums paired with some fresh joints, including "The Feeling" produced by Detroit's Black Milk. Preview The Healing and Lost Documents on iTunes, and if you're digging them, make a purchase.
