DJ Soul just announced via MySpace that his Assorted Donuts mixtape is nominated for "Best Mixtape" for the 2007 VIBE Awards.
For Assorted Donuts, DJ Soul took the tracks from J. Dilla's Donuts and paired them with vocals from some of Hip-Hop's best and brightest, including Talib Kweli, Nas and Ghostface. It also features a rare remix of The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Kick in the Door". Currently we can't find anymore information solidifying DJ Soul's claim, and he hasn't replied to our email.
