Marie Dahlstrom has to wait two more weeks before finding out whether she'll add to her collection of Scandinavian Soul Awards (via her featured work with Les Loups). But in the meantime, the Bounce-worthy fave still has plenty of reasons to celebrate. For starters, the debut EP from Hans Island (her artistic collaboration with Mawhs) was recently released. Not to mention, she is closer than ever to completing her Masters degree (Cognitive Neuroscience of Music) at Goldsmiths, University of London. To top it off, after months of hard work, she eagerly delivered another preview of her forthcoming EP with her latest single "Crashing Down."

In a recent interview with Billboard, the artist explained, "'Crashing Down' is about the feeling of always searching, instead of being present in the moment. It's about giving in, and realizing that you're exactly where you need to be. Life is a big puzzle and many things have to be juggled at the same time, for better and for worse. This song is a reflection of that process."

Produced by Joe Garrett and mixed by Qmillion, the alt-R&B track is a smooth downtempo affair with moody bass and shadowy synth. Against the beautifully layered arrangement, Ms. Dahlstrom's refined vocals are rich with color yet graceful and weightless, like a butterfly dancing in the breeze. Press the play button below and prepare to get swept away as the melodic waves crash down on you.

While she hasn't revealed an official title or release date for the upcoming EP, we do at least know that it will also include "Look the Other Way," her incredible duet with Sophie Faith. And if these two songs are an indication of what's to come, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed that Marie won't keep us waiting for too much longer.
