We're 'Happy' To Get This Pharrell Williams Remix From Ahmed Sirour

Ahmed Sirour Happy

Pharrell Williams keeps riding high on the success of “Happy,” which is currently perched atop Billboard’s Hot 100 for its ninth week. There is also no shortage of remixes of his smile-inducing hit, with a new one seeming to drop every other day. Ahmed Sirour is one of the latest additions with the “Happy (The Soular-Powered Remix)" featuring Pharrell (well, excuse us). The remixologist says he’s taken the track up a notch with “the audio equivalent of caffeine or adrenaline.” Indeed, the remixed track packs a bit more punch -- or more, appropriately, handclaps. Those get complemented with go-go-sounding percussion and an upped tempo that turns the already-upbeat song into a nonstop party jam.

Sirour’s remix extends the shelf life of what’s shaping up to be the song of the year, giving it a new chapter in its solid success story, but not ruining the elements that make the cut such a lovable favorite. But for those who need more convincing, Ahmed has even dubbed his version over the “Happy” music video. Pharrell may just want to watch his back -- and his hat.
