K. Michelle Is 'Still' At It

Just in case you were under the impression that K. Michelle’s mild musical success had led to her hanging up her coat of ratchet armor, the Love & Hip Hop star is back to shake a few more tables. Releasing her Still No F**ks Given mixtape on Valentine's Day, Atlantic Records’ down home mistress is picking up where 0 F**ks Given left off in 2012, and she could care less what you think about it. While her vocals remain as real, raw and gritty as always, the level of ratchetivity emitted from this 26-track effort may not be for everybody and she’s well aware of that. “I don’t give a damn about you judging me. I can’t help it, I’m from the street,” she sings on the opening track “Realest in the Game.” If you can bear to get past the obnoxious tags and the unnecessary interludes featuring her less-than-talented friends and manager Jeff Robinson, you may very well come across quite a few solid moments, like her take on Tamar Braxton’s “She Can Have You” and the emotional ballad “Tomorrow Too Late.” Head over to Dat Piff to get your free dose of rawness and blues with K. Michelle’s Still No F**ks Given mixtape today.
