The future soul movement continues to accelerate forward at a rapid speed, and here to bring us some more delicately intricate yet minimal future soul morsels of goodness is Australia based, Papua New Guinean singer Ngaiire with her single "Dirty Hercules." The soulful electronic number features a driving bass line that serves as the perfect backdrop for Ngaiire's warm, smooth, jazz-influenced vocals and thought-provoking lyrical style, which contrasts perfectly with guest vocalist Nai Palm's (of Hiatus Kaiyote fame) huskier, more disjointed vocals. "Dirty Hercules" is the lead single off Ngaiire's as-yet-unreleased debut album, Lamentations. If this track is any indication of the direction the rest of the album will take, Lamentations could be one album to keep an eye out for this year and may well see this diminutive chanteuse make surprisingly big waves worldwide.
