Joey Negro & The Sunburst Band's The Secret Life Of Us was definitely the soundtrack to my short-lived summer this year. As the temperatures dip and fall approaches, one of our favourite producers, Opolopo, delivers a welcome blast of heat in the form his "Boogie Remix" of the album's first single, "In The Thick Of It," which features the lovely Angela Johnson on vocals. Keeping the Sunburst Band's house flavor, Opolopo injects a welcome dose of '80's funk and boogie courtesy of some well-placed synths, upping the track's danceability factor higher than I ever thought possible. Sit back, relax and regain a few minutes of summer right here.
