Nearly a year to the day since he dropped his cover of Wham!'s "Last Christmas," as part of his successful Variations series, Mar is back, this time alongside one of the sweetest voices around, Szjerdene. Rather than covering another Christmas favorite, though, Mar has chosen to add vocals to the Aphex Twins' instrumental, "Avril 14th" (also sampled by Kanye West). The original is beautiful in its simplicity, and that is still the case once Mar and Szjerdene's gorgeous vocals are laid over it, but be warned that the video accompaniment, which sees a couple going through a terribly difficult time, is very emotional and may upset some readers.
