Over the weekend, CNN.com published a piece asking the question, "Where is the love in R&B music?" I had a few comments on the subject, and one of the artists interviewed for the piece was SoulBounce fave Jesse Boykins III, who made it plain that good love songs are still being made but you might have to search high and low to find them. Thankfully folks like JB3 make that search worthwhile with the wealth of quality material that he releases, such as the music video for the track "Light to Dark" from his most recently released EP, Way of a Wayfarer. Boykins teamed up with first-time director Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette for these day-in-the-life style short film. With NYC as his backdrop and mass transit taking him to and fro, we're taken on a journey that ends with Boykins almost pulling a Badu before fading to black. This is yet another good look from Jesse and a fine behind-the-camera debut from Joshua.
