I have to admit that Smoove & Turrell's Eccentric Audio has gotten lost in the shuffle a bit this year. I played their debut to death and then some, but their sophomore set doesn't seem to have the immediacy of it's predecessor. Well, there is nothing like a timely reminder to revisit an overlooked album, and that is exactly what we have here in the shape of a double A-side single. "Hard Work" sees the duo revisiting their Northern Soul roots, with a catchy dance floor-filler straight outta the '60s, whereas "Money" is a politically-charged ode to current times reminiscent of classic '70's soul. The single drops on November 28th, but you can pick up the album now.
