Sundays were already one of my favorite days of the week, and Jill Scott is making me love them even more with her "Light of the Sundays" vignettes on Essence.com. Without all of the flash and over-the-topness that most artists need to make them even remotely interesting, Jill continues to give us glimpses into her world as she simply sits in a studio expounding on her life and music in advance of the June 21st release date of The Light of the Sun. This week's episode is a short but sweet one with Jilly bringing her fans up to speed on what's been going on in her life since she was last in the spotlight. Without going into too much detail, she touches on her love life, her coast-to-coast move, her new deal, and her favorite role of all -- being a mommy. Watching Jill in this video is like catching up with an old friend who you haven't heard from in a while outside of the occasional text or Facebook status update. I'm already looking forward to see what she shares next Sunday.
