Oprah Hearts Hip Hop All Of A Sudden

Earlier this week, a sparkly Cee-Lo Green performed Oprah's theme song on her show. Given the fact that she has not established herself as a fan of hip hop by any means (unless it's Jay-Z), I'm just going to assume this is a result of the popularity of his hit "F--k You"/"Forget You," and not because Oprah has loved Cee-Lo since his Goodie Mob days, as I have. Forever a crowd pleaser, he had the audience clapping to the beat (as best they could) as he put his own spin on "Run On," with an added classic Cee-Lo high note. Yes, this is the iconic show's historic final season, but I find myself wishing Oprah would come back for at least one more year so the Cee-Lo version of the theme can be heard every day.

Also this week, Oprah invited hip-hop legends Salt-N-Pepa to be a part of her "Rock Goddess"-themed episode where they chatted it up with Auntie O and performed a medley of their hits and a snippet of their new single, "Hands Up."

Even in its final days, we're thrilled to see Oprah stepping out of the norm by having hip-hop artists on her show. It's definitely unexpected, given the open criticism she's taken in the past for not appreciating the genre. During her highly-anticipated final show, which is going to have several celebrity appearances, do you think she might even invite some...rappers? Which hip-hop artists would you want to see?
